Patience-...

I really need that right now, I think a lot of people, if not all people need that right about now. With everything in the headline of every American paper, especially about the Health Care Reform bill and the war, I believe that if we all take the time to really think about what we are doing instead of just writing something up quickly and rushing the process in order to get certain bills passed all of America, if not the whole world would be a better place to live.

In the Amplified Bible in Romans 5:3-4 it reads: Moreover [ let us also be full of joy now! ] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and answering endurance.

4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [ of this sort ] produces [ the habit of ] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

Also in the book of James, first chapter, Amplified version, verses 2-4 it says: Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. 3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. 4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [ people ] perfectly and fully developed [ with no defects ], lacking in nothing.

Revelation 3:10 the Amplified version says: Because you have guarded and kept My word of patient endurance [ have held fast the lesson of My patience with the expectant endurance that I give you ], I also will keep you [ safe ] from the hour of trial ( testing ) which is coming on the whole world to try those who dwell upon the earth.

... Ok I know I got a little heavy with this subject but I believe that this is very important to say. We as Americans need to take the time and consider all things before we jump in with both feet and eyes closed. If we do that... jumping in before looking we may find our selves in a worse situation. Historically speaking our country has been in worse situations but our creative ingenuity way of seeking God always pulled us out of dire circumstances.

This is just my way of putting a little light on the subject.
